The Leatherman Super Tool and Leatherman MUT are two packmules designed to take on the toughest jobs in their respective fields. The Supertool 300 is the multi-tool built for the working man. Wire cutters, strippers and crimpers are included, as are both regular and philips screwdrivers. Rounding out the toolset are a saw, bottle openers, scratch awl and a file.

The armed forces helped design and build the Leatherman MUT. It is the first multi tool designed to work for both military and civilian tactical shooters, and it proudly wears this military pedigree. A number of spots on the MUT are threaded and intended for inserting cleaning rods and brushes, and all the screwdriver bits conform to US military and civilian sighting equipment standards. The MUT was also designed to be disassembled so that its most commonly used components can be replaced quickly and on the fly.

The Leatherman MUT was intended to be the multi-tool to go with your firearm, and is highly recommended for use with the M-16, M-1, and AR-15 platforms. The MUT shares the same functionality as the other multi tools in the Leatherman line-up. The external knife is a 420HC stainless steel clip point combo straight and serrated blade. 18 tools make up its inventory, and since the MUT is a Leatherman you’ll find a replaceable screwdriver tucked within the handle.

A wonderful idea is a changeable cutter that can be used to cut through heavy rope, banding, zip ties, flexicuffs and a whole host of other strapping materials. A carabiner clip and a can opener are also tucked conveniently inside the handle, and there is a small solid knob on one end that serves as a hammer head. Even the MOLLE sheathe can be used for a 9 mm magazine clip. The Leatherman Super Tool and the MUT are exceptional tools, regardless of the working environment.
