XBox 360, Playstation 3 and the Wii: these are the major gaming consoles on the market. All of them have their own distinct advantages and disadvantages. All of them try to come up with something new, something better for their gaming clan every year.

In this article, we will take a look at all of them and help you decide the one you should get. Most of the games – the major ones – can be found for the Xbox as well as the PS3. These include games like Fifa ’12, Call of Duty series, etc. So, in case you are looking to play the “common” games, any of these consoles would suffice. All of them have, more or less, the same computing power, the same capacity and the same graphics. There is little to differentiate on those fronts.

The picture, however, changes when you look at the quality of the games available for each of these consoles. Some clearly lead the race from that angle. The last year, Kinect was introduced by Microsoft, as a compliment to the Xbox. It is still rudimentary but has enormous potential. Playstation isn’t far behind: it has the Move, which is equally as good!

Apart from that, there are exclusive gaming titles for both of these platforms. The playstation has a bigger gamut, if you observe carefully. The recently release Uncharted 3, for example, has received unprecedented reviews and on it’s own, makes a strong case for getting the PS.

PS3 has an equally good networking service, known as the PSN. It allows you to do the same.
