Sharing a funny youtube video is definitely an exciting thing to do when amongst friends. It’s a good way to break the ice, share experiences and of course laugh to the point of insanity.

The fastest way to start is by just going to Youtube and find some videos that are funny. Then ask yourself how did those videos get that ranking in the first place? Does the video look like it was scripted or does it just look like it happened accidentally? You’d be surprised how often it’s usually both.

Shooting a piece of video and submitting it on Youtube is a lot easier than most people make it out to be. The part that might take a little longer is coming up with the actual material. A good rule of thumb would be to do a simple search on Youtube and find funny videos that get lots of views. Make sure to jot down why you think the video was hilarious and then write down some ideas.

A good place to start is your personal interests. Are you a RPG addict? Are you an actor? Do you blog? Can you sing/lip-sync? Just jot down some of your talents or your favorite topics. It is easier to come up with content about things you know. After sifting through your brain, pick your favorite topic and then it’s up to you to choose whether to script your idea or improve the whole thing.

To make a video, a camera is a necessity. For youtube, any camera will do-even if it’s a point and shoot. Just make sure you know how to extract the video from the camera you are using. The better quality cameras would be optimal but as long as there is good lighting and sound-you’re set. Remember, your audience needs to be able to see and hear the video clearly in order to L.O.L. Timing is important too. You do not want your video to drag on. Keep it short and sweet. Next, call up a couple of friends and have blast shooting your funny youtube video!
